Remove Coffee Stains from Upholstery using Liquid Dish Detergent
Since
it’s not possible to throw your couch or sofa into the washing machine for a
spin, therefore in this situation you will have to deploy a bit more tact.
Although this method also involves the use of liquid dish detergent, however in
this case its application would be a little different.
Things that you will require:
·
1
table spoon of liquid dish detergent
·
2
cups of cool, clean water
·
Clean
white cloth
·
Sponge
·
Dry
cloth/towel
Steps that you need to take:
1. The first step deals with the making of
a cleaning solution. To make this solution, primarily you would have to combine
1 table spoon of liquid dish detergent with 2 cups of cool, clean water. Mix
the two ingredients thoroughly to end up with an effective cleaning solution.
2. Afterwards, apply this cleaning solution
onto the coffee stained area with the help of a clean, white cloth or a sponge.
3. Keep blotting the coffee stain with this
soapy sponge until the stain disappears.
4. Once the stain is no longer visible,
rinse the previously stained area with clean water.
5. Instead of directly pouring water onto
the stain, use a sponge soaked in clean water to rinse the stain.
6. Eventually, blot the area dry with a
clean cloth or towel.
Warning:
Before applying the solution onto the
stained area, check the color fastness of the fabric first by sponging an
inconspicuous area with a white cloth. If no color comes onto the cloth then
proceed with the sponging of the coffee stain.
