4.   Let this solution sit on the stain for some time, approximately five minutes.

5.   After the completion of this time period, blot the stain with the cloth until you are sure that there is no color transfer from the stain to the cloth. Lastly, rinse the stain with cold water.

2.   Make a cleaning solution by the mixture of 4 cups of cool water, 1 table spoon ammonia and ½ tea spoon chlorine-free liquid laundry detergent.

3.   Soak the stained fabric in this solution for some time, approximately half an hour. Afterwards, launder the fabric as you usually do.

4.   However, if the above cleaning solution doesn’t succeed in the effective removal of iodine stain from your clothes, then you ought to go for a stronger cleaning solution. Make this solution by the combination of 1 cup of cool water and 1 table spoon of sodium thiosulfate.

5.   Apply this solution onto the stain, by using a clean white cloth.
