Fat is the main ingredient
in a number of edible products. While eating people who are clumsy do stain
their clothes one way or the other and end up having stubborn and nasty stains
on their most favorite clothes. These stains can be located easily on the
clothes because they aren’t colored but so have a slightly darker tone than the
color of the clothes they are on.
Removing the fat stains
from clothes can be a hassle. The fat cling to the fabric therefore you need to
pre-treat the stained clothes rather than throwing them straight away into the laundry.
If they go straight to laundry, the stains will end up setting on your clothes
for a really long time, ruining them.
We have come up with the
following methods for you to get rid of the nasty fat stains from your favorite
clothes. The methods are simple and will give satisfactory results.
Method 1 (White
Vinegar Solution)
The ingredients for this
method are very easy to find and by following the simple steps carefully you
will end up removing the fat stains, leaving the clothes as good as new. This
method is safe to be used on colored clothes.
Things that you will require:

White
vinegar
·
Liquid
laundry detergent
·
Warm
water
·
Tooth
brush
·
Empty
bowl
·
Butter
knife
Steps that you will need to take:
1.
Scrape
off the fat on the surface of the stain using your finger nail or a butter
knife.
2.
Now
run warm water from the backside of the stain.
3.
After
that take the empty bowl and mix a three tbsp. of white vinegar with two tbsp.
of the liquid laundry detergent. Add a liter of warm water to the bowl. This
should be enough to cover all the stained clothes.
4.
With
the help of the tooth brush stir the solution and apply the solution to the
stains. Keep dipping the brush so that there isn’t a spot left. Leave the
solution on the clothes for about twenty of thirty minutes.
5.
Put
the clothes in laundry and after a cycle check the stains. If they haven’t been
completely removed, repeat step 4. By this point the fat stains removal will be
successful.
Method 2 (Using
Cornstarch)
This method is safe for
both colored and white clothes. Also remember that this method gives the best
results if the stains are fresh.
Things that you will require:

Cornstarch/baby
powder
·
Tooth
brush
·
Butter
knife
Steps that you will need to take:
1.
Start
by scrapping off the access fat on the surface of the stains.
2.
Now
lay the fat stained clothes on a flat surface and sprinkle cornstarch or baby
powder on it. Make sure you cover all the stains and don’t miss a spot.
3.
Rub
the cornstarch or baby powder into the fabric with the help of a tooth brush.
The powder will absorb all the fat from the fabric.
4.
Repeat
step 3 till you see results i.e. the stain has completely left the clothes.
5.
Now
put the clothes in the laundry and wash as usual.
Method
3 (Using Eucalyptus Soap/Oil)
Although you might have to
put some effort into finding the ingredients, the results are very
satisfactory. Also remember that the soap isn’t just eucalyptus scented but
rather have eucalyptus in it as an ingredient.
Steps that you will need to take:

Eucalyptus
based soap (bar) or Eucalyptus oil
·
Cold
water
·
Butter
knife
·
Tooth
brush
Things that you will require:
1. Start by scrapping the
stains so the excess fat can be removed from the surface.
2. Now run cold water from the
backside of the stains and start by gently applying the soap on the stain.
3. One a significant amount
has been applied; start working the soap into the stain with the help of the
tooth brush. Leave the soap on the fat stains for about 2 hours.
4. Now do the laundry as
usual. The fat stains removal will be successful

1.
If
you have chosen the eucalyptus oil, start by repeating step 1 above.
2.
Take
a few drops of the oil onto the tooth brush and massage it into the stains,
making sure all of them are covered. Leave the oil in for about ten minutes.
3.
Put
the clothes in laundry and wash in the usual manner.
Tips:
·
Always
remember that scrapping off the stains for the excess fat is the key.
·
Never
put such stained clothes in the dryer, because the heat produced during the
spins will cause the stains to set forever. Therefore it is better to air dry
them.
