Usually on a summer’s day, people tend
to stay inside cool air conditioned buildings but for those who don’t have that
luxury or those who work outdoors a lot, the armpit stains is a big problem. It
can be embarrassing and no amount of antiperspirant deodorants and role-ones
can prevent the stains, in fact, these products are often the cause of armpit
stains.
Colored clothes have armpit stains too
and if the stains aren’t removed timely, they cause the clothes to discolor.
The armpit stains basically occur because of the bacteria, which is why the
best way to get rid of the stains is to take immediate action against them, but
the usual methods like peroxide solution can lead to more damage to the colored
clothes, therefore the armpit stains on colored clothes must be removed by
milder methods.
This is why we have come up with the
following solutions for a successful armpit stain removal. These methods are
easy to follow and give very successful results, leaving your clothes as good
as new and successfully removing the unwanted stains.
Method 1 (Using Baking Soda)
Things that you will require:
·
Oxygenating
detergent
·
Cold
water
·
Washing
machine
·
Baking
soda
·
Empty
bowl
·
Tooth
brush
Steps that you will need to take:
1.
Locate
the armpit stains. They make the armpits look a little discolored. Start by
putting a tsp. of baking soda into the empty bowl and adding a few drops of
water. Mix them till you have a thick paste.
2.
With
the help of the tooth brush, take the paste and apply to the stains on the
colored clothes. Leave the paste on for about twenty minutes.
3.
After
twenty minutes, put the clothes in the washing machine and add cold water to it
along with the oxygenating detergent. After the usual cycle you give for colored
clothes, rinse the clothes.
4.
Air
dries rather than putting the clothes in the dryer. This will restore the color
to the clothes and the armpit stain removal will be successful.
Method 2 (Using Vinegar)
Things that you will require:
·
Vinegar
·
Cold
water
·
Empty
bowl
·
Sponge
Steps that you will need to take:
1.
Start
by adding two or three tbsp. of vinegar to the empty bowl. Now add half cup of
cold water.
2.
Spread
the stained colored clothes on a flat area. Dip the sponge into the vinegar
solution and apply on the armpit area of the clothes where you feel the stains
are. The discoloration will be a sign of the stains.
3.
After
applying the solution, leave the shirts for about an hour or so. Make sure that
you keep applying the dipped sponge on the stains so that they don’t get dry.
4.
After
an hour, do the laundry of the stained clothes as usual. Make sure you use a
mild detergent for the laundry.
5.
Let
the clothes air dry after they have been washed. This will result in a successful
armpit stain removal.
