Mustard is the most delicious topping to put on food. Kids love it and so do adults but when it finds its way to your clean white shirt, it can cause quite a problem. The root of this problem is the fact that mustard has turmeric in it, and when it gets on white clothes it has a dying effect i.e. it leaves a very distinct yellow stains. Method 1 (Using Glycerin)
This
quick and easy method requires very little time and energy. The ingredients are
easy to find. You can find Glycerin at any drug store as it is sold over the
counter and you don’t need a prescription for it.

Steps that you will need to take:
1.
Scrape
off any access mustard still left on the white shirt with the help of a butter
knife. Make sure you scrape inwards so that the stain doesn’t spread.
2.
Run
cold water on the back side of the white shirt. This will cause any leftover
mustard to leave the surface of the shirt.
3.
Apply
glycerin to the stain. Make sure you leave it on for one hour.
4.
By
this point the mustard stain will be pre-treated and ready for laundry.
5.
Wash
the shirt as you usually will and the stain removal will be successful.
Method 2 (Using Hydrogen Peroxide)
Hydrogen
peroxide is very effective when it comes to stubborn stains that just won’t
come off. It is easy to find and acts as a bleaching agents for mustard stains.
With this easy method removing mustard stains from your white shirt won’t be a
problem.

Steps that you will need to take:
1.
Start
by washing the stain on the white shirt from the back side. Run it under cold
water for about a minute. This will cause the stain to lighten.
2.
Take
weak solution of hydrogen peroxide and soak the stains in it using the empty
bowl. Let the stain remain in the hydrogen peroxide for about fifteen to twenty
minutes.
3.
Take
the tooth brush and gently rub the mustard stains making the stain removal
process a success.
4.
Put
the shirt in the laundry and wash it with detergent.

remember to use cold water with such stains.

Never
put a shirt which has been treated for stains in the dryer. Always let it air
dry.
