How to remove Grease Stains from walls


Maintaining a car shop is necessary in order to attract customers. If you are the owner you have to keep in mind that there will be many grease stains on the walls. Even if the workers are careful, somehow the grease ends up on the walls. It can be because they lean with their dirty hands on the walls and not pay attention. There is no one explanation for it.

 In order to keep the car shop presentable, the stain removal has to be quick and not time consuming. If you are a car shop owner or a housewife, you need to know about the following methods that will help you removing the stains from the walls. You can adopt any one of the following methods to remove Grease stains from tiles.


Method 1 (Using Vinegar Solution)

Things that you will require:

·      Vinegar
·      Hot water
·      Cleaning towels
·      Empty bowl

Steps that you will need to take:

1.   Take the cleaning towel and wipe the stains on the wall inwards so that they don’t spread.

2.   Take the empty bowl and mix equal quantities of hot water and vinegar. Dip the cleaning towel in it and apply on the stains.

3.   Take a dry cleaning towel and wipe after you have scrubbed the stains with the mixture of vinegar and water. This will clean the grease spots.

4.   Dip the dry towel in water and apply to the area in order to clean the vinegar solution. Repeatedly dip in water and clean the area. Once you have made sure that there is no solution left behind, let the area air dry. By this time the stains will have disappeared.


Method 2 (Using Alcohol and Salt)

Things that you will require:

·      Gloves
·      Empty bowl
·      Salt
·      Rubbing alcohol
·      Very hot water
·      Cleaning towels

Steps that you will need to take:

1.   Take the empty bowl and mix one tbsp. of salt with four tbsp. of rubbing alcohol. Pour the hot water in the mixture, which is enough to clean the stains.

2.   Put gloves on and dip part of the cleaning towel in the solution so that the part you are holding isn’t dipped in the hot water. It should be done this way so that you don’t burn your hand with the boiling water.

3.   Scrub the grease marks with the cleaning towel till you see them lightening. Dip the cleaning towel in the solution repeatedly and apply to the stains on the wall till they vanish.

4.   Take a dry cleaning towel and dip in normal water and wipe the solution off the wall. Let the wall air dry. By this time the stains will have disappeared.

Tips:

·      When removing grease stains always remember that warm or hot water is the way to go. It helps in cutting through the grease.

·      In case the grease marks are very old and don’t clear up, you can always paint that patch of the wall.
