Kids and professional
players have the dirtiest clothes after a game in the sun. In addition to sweat
they have dirt and grass stains all over their clothes, especially white
clothes. Grass stains have a reputation of being very hard to clean. It is
often seen that even after washing the clothes with strong detergents, the
stains remain and look horrible.
In order to get rid
of grass stain from white pants, it is important to treat them immediately. A
pre-wash treatment will get the grass stains to vanish instantly, but if they
are left to wait for the laundry, you might not get the desired results. The
following are some methods to treat white pants prior to laundry.
Method 1
Things that you will require:
·
Rubbing alcohol
·
Detergent
·
Water
Steps that you will need to take:
1.
Pour the rubbing alcohol directly on the stains and rub till
you see the stains lightening. You may need to keep pouring the alcohol onto
the stains since alcohol tends to evaporate.
2.
Once you have rubbed the alcohol in, pour some detergent on
the grass stains and add water so you have room to lather, keep rubbing the
stains.
3.
Rinse with water to check if the stains have disappeared. For
nasty stains that don’t clear out, repeat step one and soak the stained area of
the pants in rubbing alcohol. Leave it for a few hours and then repeat step
two. These all steps will eventually get grass stains out from clothes.
Method 2
Things that you will require:
·
Tooth brush
·
Banana oil (Amyl acetate)
·
A spoon
·
Liquid Detergent (that has enzymes)
·
Water
·
Empty bowl
Steps that you will need to take:
1.
Pour half tsp. of banana oil onto the grass stains. Using the
tooth brush rub the oil into the stain. Do this for two minutes.
2.
Rinse the oil out of the stains with cold water. Make sure
that all of the oil has left the stains.
3.
Take the empty bowl and mix equal amounts of the liquid
detergent and water. Make sure that it is enough to clean the grass stains.
4.
Apply the mixture onto the stains and using the same tooth
brush rub the solution into the stain. Do this for about 2 or 3 minutes. And
then let the stains soak in the solution for one hour. If you feel that the
stains are deep, soak them in the solution for a couple of hours.
5.
Now using cold water, wash the white pants, making sure that
there isn’t any detergent left in them.
