newly painted car? Are you looking for a solution, and have still not found
one? Is buffing the car paint with hard core chemical compounds the only
solution? This article provides you with the answers to all these questions!
The methods outlined below help you get rid of the hard water spots on your
car, using simple household items, in little time. Get rid of your nightmare,
and follow the instructions below.
Put on gloves, wear old clothes, and
get ready to remove the hard water stains from your car paint. Before you
remove the stains, apply detailing clay on the affected area to get rid of any
hard granules that may be present on the surface of the car.
Method One (Using White Vinegar)
Things that you will require:
·
Distilled
water
·
White
vinegar
·
Bowl
·
Spray
bottle
·
Soft,
clean cloth
Steps that you will need to take:
1.
To
make the cleaning solution for the removal of hard water stains from the car
paint, mix 2 parts distilled water and 1 part white vinegar in a bowl.
2.
Pour
this solution in a spray bottle.
3.
Now,
spray the mixture on the hard water stains.
4.
Rub
the hard water stains gently with a soft, clean cloth. The time it takes to get
rid of the stains depends on how long the stains have been left in place. Fresh
stains may be removed immediately.
5.
Rinse
the car with a garden hose, or if it is a small area, use a clean cloth soaked
in plain water.
6.
Dry
the car completely. Use a dry clean towel to do so.
7. Repeat the above steps if
the stains still remain.
Method Two (Using Baking Soda)
Things that you will require:
·
Baking
soda
·
Distilled
water
·
White
vinegar
·
Sponge
or soft, clean cloth
Steps that you will need to take:
1.
The
first part involves the making of the cleaning solution for the removal of hard
water stains from the car paint. To do so, add 3 parts of baking soda and 1
part distilled water in a bowl. You can also add a few drops of white vinegar
for a stronger solution. Make a paste out of all 3 ingredients.
2.
Grab
a sponge or a soft, clean cloth, apply the solution on it, and rub the hard
water stains with the sponge or cloth gently.
3.
Leave
the paste in place for 15 minutes.
4.
The
next step is to get rid of the paste from the car paint. To do so, rinse the
affected area with clear water. Use a sponge soaked in water if necessary.
5.
Dry
the affected area completely. Use a dry towel to do so.
6.
If
the hard water stains are still visible, repeat the above steps.
You
may also apply a paste of wax to renew your car polish after the removal of
hard water stains if necessary.
